Group Classes
We meet twice a week for a 1.5 hour class and a 2 hour class. During these classes, we teach Yang Style Tai Chi and Taoist Meditation. We offer Special Events throughout the year to learn other soft and internal exercises.
Private 1-on-1
Private classes are offered on a part-time basis. These private classes come in 3 tiers. Depending on the tier you choose, expect a lower to higher price based on experience level and time learning Tai Chi.
Private Disciple Program
Our private disciple program is invite only. This program is for the few who strive to embody all aspects of Tai Chi. In this disciple program, our disciples learn internal alchemy, elements of Tai Chi not available to the public, and several other key factors that have been passed down from the Yang family lineage.
Short Form (24 Movements)
The Short Form was created as a simplified form of Tai Chi for the masses, and is one of the most widely practiced forms in the world today. The Short Form, consisting of 24 key movements, is a truncated version of the traditional Long Form, and a perfect way to introduce the beginner to the essential elements of Tai Chi Chuan.
Long Form (108 Movements)
This is one of the most well-known forms of Tai Chi Chuan around the world. It consists of 108 movements and is broken down into 3 separate parts. The form takes between 20-30 minutes to perform. Once the short form has been learned, we will progress to learning this form.
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese martial art. While it remains a highly sophisticated fighting style, it also has numerous health benefits. The Tai Chi form aids in stimulating the flow of vital energy (known as “chi”) and in turn promotes healing in the body.
We teach the traditional Yang style (both long and short form). For beginners we start with the short form (24 movements) and will progress to the long form (108 movements) for the more advanced students. We include basic stretching/flexibility training along with QiGong, Breath-work, and seated-Meditation.
Tai Chi is psycho-physiological practice involving slow and flowing movements in form of moving meditation. This can lead to enhanced physical and mental health, along with improved posture, balance, flexibility, and strength.
Tai Chi, in it’s essence, is the physical expression of Taoism. We believe it is important to study the great lessons included in the Tao te Jing along with our study of Tai Chi for a fuller experience. We aim to help you develop yourself and reach your true potential… Mind, Body, and Spirit.
